Overview: Re-designing the Table Experience
GlobalŞarj 2 is a second-generation multi-functional smart dining station designed to transform casual and high-end restaurant table experiences. Leveraging 12 years of multidisciplinary design expertise, this evolution focuses on streamlining operations while significantly elevating guest convenience through a seamless blend of physical, digital, and content design.

The Challenge & The Pivot
Building upon the original coin-operated charging station, the goal was to eliminate mechanical friction, reduce physical clutter, and modernize the user flow. The design evolved from a reactive solution for low battery issues into a proactive, intelligent ecosystem that anticipates and fulfills multiple table needs—charging, seasoning, and staff communication—all within one compact, aesthetically refined unit.
Key Improvements (Evolution from v1)
Seamless Digital Payment Integration:
Replaced the 1 TL coin mechanism with an integrated contactless NFC reader for credit cards and a dynamic QR code display for seamless application-based payments. This shift ensures a frictionless, modernized transaction flow for both patrons and businesses.
Proactive Utility:
Addressed a physical table constraint by integrating elegant salt and pepper shakers into the central station. This ergonomic addition frees up table space, reduces staff movement, and simplifies table setup.
Modernized Charging Technology:
Eliminated the two, high-friction 3-in-1 charging cables. In their place, an advanced inductive wireless charging pad (QI standard) has been integrated, allowing users to effortlessly place their devices on the station for charging, further simplifying the CMF design and user experience.
Enhanced Communication:
Maintained the staff call button but significantly upgraded the associated interface. The v1 display was replaced with a larger, high-resolution LED screen, ensuring clearer staff visibility, smoother interaction for guests, and an elevated premium aesthetic.
CMF & Aesthetic Language
Matte Anthracite Body: A premium, fingerprint-resistant, matte dark grey core housing, engineered for high durability in commercial dining environments.
Brushed Stainless Steel Details: Brushed metal finish on the integrated salt and pepper shakers and call button bezel, offering a clean, hygienic, and tactile contrast to the main body.
Textured Charging Surface: A non-slip pattern on the wireless charging pad that keeps devices secure while adding a subtle graphical detail to the top surface.
Soft White Base Tray: A clean, contrasting base tray that anchors the device on the dining table, neatly framing the main unit and seasoning shakers.
